Setting Boundaries

Setting boundaries - Wellness Coaching in Guernsey

My new website and blog also bring with it some very intentional changes for my business and work/life balance.

Last year, at times, I was honestly pretty close to experiencing burn out, but I didn’t admit it to anyone (including myself!). I had taken on a lot, with several programmes running at the same time, launching new ones, promoting existing ones and on top of that having new staff to train up and changes in my personal life too. I was being pulled in so many different directions and not giving any of them the attention they deserved, which left me feeling exhausted and at times a little resentful.

I could tell that my own health and wellbeing was starting to be affected and I knew things had to change. I needed to re-align my priorities, cut back and find a healthy balance.

So here we are… 2020 and a brand new decade has begun, I have a new website, a new blog and this year I’m doing things slightly differently with a new sense of clarity. I’m fine tuning what services I offer, focusing on where I feel I can make the biggest impact - it’s about quality rather than quantity. I’m setting my boundaries to ensure that I have time in the day to read, write and develop my knowledge further, in order to provide regular, valuable and inspiring content. Giving myself more time and space for these things will allow me to continue doing what I’m most passionate about - helping people to make positive, long term lifestyle changes - but in a way that I can sustain and enjoy. Most importantly, I’m making the time to practice what I preach, look after myself first and in doing so, be the best coach I can be. #selfcareisntselfish

Here’s to a healthy, happy and wholesome year ahead!
